These products are not Medicare plans. They are separate insurance policies with their own benefits, limitations, and exclusions, and they don’t replace Medicare coverage. Eligibility and underwriting rules vary by product.
Dental, vision, and hearing
Original Medicare generally doesn’t cover routine dental care, eye exams for glasses, or hearing aids. Stand-alone dental, vision, and hearing plans can help with these costs. Waiting periods, annual maximums, and networks vary by plan, so it’s worth comparing carefully.
Hospital indemnity insurance
Hospital indemnity insurance pays a fixed cash benefit for covered hospital stays. It can help with out-of-pocket costs, such as the hospital copays some Medicare Advantage plans have.
Critical illness insurance
Cancer, heart attack, and stroke (critical illness) insurance pays a lump-sum benefit if you’re diagnosed with a covered condition, giving you extra flexibility during a difficult time.
Travel medical coverage
Original Medicare generally doesn’t cover care outside the U.S. Some Medigap plans include limited foreign travel emergency coverage, and stand-alone travel medical plans can help fill the rest of the gap if you travel internationally.
May be a fit if you
Want help with costs Medicare doesn’t cover — like routine dental and vision — or extra financial protection for hospital stays.
How I can help
These are optional extras, not replacements for Medicare. I can help you understand whether any of them make sense alongside your Medicare coverage. Schedule a review to talk through your options.
